IMPORTANT POLICY UPDATES
March 12, 2020
Dear Families and Friends,
Our residents are very important to us. It is not only our responsibility, but our commitment to them to keep them safe.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we are restricting all visitation as per the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Department of Health (DOH).
As usual, with any change of condition, you will be notified by nursing.
Families who do laundry are asked to call at least 2 hours in advance to the facility so that laundry can be brought to security for pickup and delivery. Any packages or food can be brought to the security desk with advanced notice and we will ensure it is delivered to your family member.
For those residents who need emergent care, including end of life services, the restrictions will be modified.
All unnecessary doctors appointments will be rescheduled to a later date.
Discharges will be scheduled as usual and equipment will be sent to your home.
All care plan meetings will be conducted via teleconference.
We have set up a hotline number to give you any updates on the COVID-19 virus as we get them from the CDC and the DOH. Please call our hotline, 516-377-8201, for update information.
Please send your email address to Suzy Zarett at firstname.lastname@example.org, so that we may send you email updates as we receive them. Please include your name, the name of our resident and your relationship to the resident.
The health and safety of our residents is our major concern. We understand that this is a difficult time for all, and we ask for your consideration and cooperation. Please limit your phone calls to the facility unless absolutely necessary. Please take care of yourselves as well. Thank you for your understanding.
